There is good news when it comes to periodontal disease - it is easily preventable. As the Pennsylvania Dental Association keeps reminding the public, it is very important to maintain both healthy teeth and gums. Periodontal disease has two stages gingivitis and periodontitis. When it comes to developing periodontal disease, there are several factors that can increase your risk, including the use of tabacco. You should also be careful if you have certain systematic diseases like diabetes, or take certain medications like steroids and anti epilepsy drugs, cancer drugs, calcium channel blockers and oral contraceptives. Improperly fitting bridges, old fillings, which have become defective, crooked teeth and pregnancy are also risk factors for periodontal disease.
In some studies, researchers have come to the conclusion that people who are afflicted with gum disease are more at risk for developing coronary artery disease. This happens when bacteria lodged in the mouth enters the blood stream and reaches the blood vessels surrounding the heart, where it forms fatty deposits that can result in the formation of blood clots. Professionals have suggested the ensuing tips in order to preserve your teeth and avoid getting periodontal disease. Thoroughly brush your teeth twice daily and floss every day. Texas Instruments promised us a new helping of OMAP right around a year ago,
and sure enough, OMAP 5 processors will be sampling to partners as early as
next week. Texas Instruments' Remi El-Ouazzane (VP of OMAP) just debuted an
OMAP 5-based reference design (or "development platform," if you will) on our
CES stage, a solid four years after OMAP 3 debuted on a nondescript Archos
tablet. OMAP 5 brings along a pair of cores and plenty of power savings, a
dual-GPU architecture and more raw horsepower than the average simpleton is
used to handling in a single palm. We saw quite a bit of swiping through
Android 4.0.1, and as you'd expect, everything looked decidedly snappy. 720p
video at 30 frames per second is no real chore, with the platform capable of
pushing 1080p material at _64_ frames per second (130 frames per second
without screen refresh limitations). Of course, with everything being hardware
accelerated, we can't feign surprise about its future on netbooks and laptops.
