Qualcomm has acquired display startup Pixtronix, that has developed
technology relevant to smartphone and tablet screens.
Andover, Mass.-based Pixtronix's Digital Micro Shutter technology combines
MEMS (Microelectromechanical systems) and TFTs (thin-film transistors),
supplying "differentiation, while using proven manufacturing equipment,
