Summer Infant Day and Night Baby Monitor - Audio and Visual Monitoring on Your Sleeping Baby
A baby monitor every parents with a baby must have is the Summer Infant Day and Night Baby Monitor. Unlike other baby monitors which only work on audio level, the Summer Infant Baby Monitor also work on visual level by showing images of the baby captured by a camera. So now parents not only can hear the baby, they can actually see how the baby is sleeping, even when the baby’s room is completely dark.
As in other baby monitor units, the Summer Infant Day Night Monitor is a pair - the baby's unit and the parents' unit. On the baby's unit is a cameraof 900MHz for capturing images of the baby and transmitting it to the receiving unit. The transmission range is up to 350 feet of unobstructed or 100 feet obstructed. When the baby's room is very dark, there are built-in infrared LED's on the baby's unit to assist the camera to capture images. For capture sounds, the camera is equipped with a super sensitive microphone. Thus the baby's unit of the Summer Infant Video Baby Monitor is capable of capturing both audio and visual information, providing complete information for the parents to remotely know how the baby is doing.
The parent's unit carries FM band technology which enables it to clearly receive signals sent from the baby's unit. It has a large 1.8-inch, high resolution, full color LCD display to show the images from the baby’s unit. Furthermore it has built-in sound lights, which show the baby’s level of activity. So simply by checking on the portable unit, the parents’ can monitor the baby sleeping in his or her room simply by looking at the sound lights to detect the baby’s level of activity, or by listening to the sounds, or by watching the LCD display to directly see how the baby is doing.
Beyond the above features, the Summer Infant Day Night Monitor also features many other important features such as the two-channel selection to minimize interference, a choice of using rechargeable battery or electricity, a long lasting rechargeable battery for up to 10 hours, audio/video jack, brightness and volume control, and automatic dimmer to save battery power.
