HSSDC, Or High Speed Serial Data Connector, Is An Interconnect Technology For High-speed Information
HSSDC, or high speed serial data connector, is an interconnect technology for high-speed information transfer from cable to board (or vice versa) for applications including gigabyte Ethernet, storage, servers and workstations. Employing HSSDC, copper implementation of fibre channel as well as other serial data applications can reach speeds of as much as 2.125 Gbps over long distances. Cables have nothing to do with ESD unless they are tied to some component that is ESD sensitive. I think your talking about EMI (Electronic Magnetic Interference) or noise that is picked up on cabling.
There are a couple of options to eliminate EMI and it depends on the bandwidth that your trying to eliminate. Lower bandwidths can simply be blocked with Aluminum or tin foil. Simply wrap the foil around the cable from one connector to the other connector. Solder a small piece to the foil wrapped wire on either end of the cable and tie it to ground.
Higher bandwidths can be eliminated with braided shielding. You can purchase different types of cables that have braided shielding included. Most Cat 5 cabling should already have it.
